Salvaging corm from rotted plant?

Hello, I recently moved and brought a couple "Ice Cream" pups with me. One has grown to 7 feet and is doing great, but the other one I think I planted too deep, and it rotted out from the center. I cut it to the ground and then my dad mowed over the pup that was showing. I dug it up today and got this. I've since cut off all the dead/rotting roots, frayed buds, and took the old meristem down to white corm. I sprayed the whole thing with organic insecticide/fungicide and it's drying out right now. Is there anything else I should do before putting it in a pot for the winter?

Thanks

Lightly dust any roots and the entire corm bottom with rooting powder.

The plant actually does not look that bad.......maybe little beat up.

I hope it pulls through.
