Default Rot?

Hi

During the summer, when I cut off a leave on my Musa Sikkimensis, the leave stump usually dries out.

I have now cut off all the leaves and put the pseudo stem into a coldhouse. But now the leave stumps seems to rot instead of driyng out.

Anyone else having this issue?

Default Re: Rot?

The same thing happens to me so I'd love feedback from an expert but as it stand I watch it and if it keeps spreading I remove the rot.

Just to add, you can try removing leaves when the soil is dry, with wet soil the plant weeps so when you cut that extra moisture is likely what causes the rot.
