I ran in to Don a few years back (USF Plant sale in Tampa) and he told me the same thing . I am not sure about the property size..I think it is closer to five acres. Additionally, I think he purchased the business Going Bananas from Bill Lessard and moved the corms to his location. I may be mistaken; just my recollection of conversations with the two in 1993-1994.

Going Bananas has converted large portions of the Banana Grove to lychees. This is just reflective of the trend away from selling corms and toward the trend of buying trays of TC's and repotting. But absolutely a beautiful piece of property about 5 minutes from the Fruit & Spice Park in the Redlands Homestead, FL.

Rmpl -- Think your right about 5 acres on Don's place. Got confused with my uncle Frank's place. He had 10 acres not far from Don. Frank dabbled in all kinds of fruit trees as well as black angus, appaloosa, paso fino and a host of other critters. His land is now 34 residential lots.

Did you see Don's macadamia nut tree? Fantastic. It's much easier to grow trops in the redlands. I've sent pups of half of the naners I grow to my wife's cousin in Homestead. They are doing great. They don't even have to water them cause the back of the property borders a nursery and the overspray runs 20 ft into their yard.

You are also right about Don going with just TC's - don't think he has dug out a pup for anyone in a long time.
