Re: Tampa Information
I will be in Tampa next weekend (November 07) and need help on plant nurseries on the North side of town. Do you guys have a favorite - possibly with bananas. I am crossing my fingers. And, do you know of any that are open on Sunday???

Re: Tampa Information
I stopped by Jene's Tropical Nursery when in Tampa last spring - picked up a black mulberry that has really taken off (grew 6 feet in a season). Their banana section online is not great (5 cultivars), but they have a pretty good selection of different species of tropical and subtropical fruit. I think it is north Tampa/South St. Petersburg: Jene's Tropical Fruit

Re: Tampa Information
Good morning Youngbb,
Looking for Bananas in Tampa will be very close to non-productive if you are looking for "Good" cultivars. Go to Going Bananas.com , Don has an excellent selection and they are located in Homestead. Many people from this site get bananas from him. It is worth the drive south! :2239: |
Re: Tampa Information
I'm located 10-60 minutes from Tampa, depending on traffic, and I have a few (less than ten) tiny little baby plants coming off the big ones, if anyone is interested in stopping by. I'm unemployed and heavily in debt, so donations would be appreciated. I wish I could tell you what varieties they all are, but I know I have at least 5 different kinds. Re: Tampa Information
Pardon the quality of the night-time pictures taken with my only camera, which was purchased about 4-5 years ago... but you get the idea.
