Question about plant transfer

Dug up a 4ft 2.5" thick nanner from a small mat. It was so crowded in the landscape and didn't want to damage the parks other plants,so the p-stem has only acouple roots. Its been a month or close to it,not really any growth. Should I bring it inside since its fall now and night temps are starting to go into the 50's. This way it can grow some more roots to support itself?

Re: Question about plant transfer

I would find a place in your home for the winter.
The plant will show growth once the new roots are established. And the cold nights won't help a bit.
So yes, I would move it inside and monitor the moisture of the soil during winter.
Home heaters tend to drop humidity levels...so watering will be different if the plant was outside during the summer months
Good Luck

I'd take it in the house and set it in a warm sunny place. Like in a window on a heat mat. That should make it really happy and make it grow some additional roots. Don't over water it or underwater it.

Okay Thanks both of you! Its been in the upper 60's-70's off and on. Cold at nights in the 50's. So it might be time to bring all my potted nanners in anyhow. We are right on the coast(ocean) and next to a huge river so we stay pretty much out of the freeze zone or its short lived. They are still growing good though.

Yep from a park. Just pulled up in the car with a shovel and dug it up and left. Haha. No just kidding. I called around and found out months ago who didthe landscape. Lady called me back and said once they are done fruiting you can come get any size you want. So in return I had a bunch of cactus I gave her for the city greenhouse. Its a Bordelon.

Okay I brought them all in and have them inside our spare bathroom with no window. I trimmed off all the leaves but the sword coming up. They are all in there pots as well, nah what is the least amount of light I can give them?
