Default Question

Hi all- I just have a quick question. I planted this plant in February and it looks like it's already beginning to fruit. I think it's a basjoo but not positive.
My question is it normal for plants to start to fruit this quickly in only a few months?
I am trying to upload a picture but I'm having trouble doing it with my mobile phone. I hope you can see the picture with one of the links I am providing through photo bucket.
Thanks for any responses! And this plant started as just a small pup.

Ok so not a basjoo. I figured basjoo would get quite big before flowering and this is only 5 ft or so. But is it common for a banana to fruit that quickly? No matter what kind?

After looking at the old posts for Musa laterita, that sure does look like what I have. It puts out so many pups! Just since February I have removed 11 pups from one plant. And there's 5 more growing now!
Thanks for the help
