![]() I transplanted these two musa basjoo from another location in my yard into this new bed last week, and today I noticed these two things that look like pups growing next to the banana. Looks like the leaves unfurl from the center like bananas, but the main plant is only 1 ft tall so I'm wondering how it would be pupping already. Let me know what you think.

![]() Two of them nearer the mother look like pups to me but the one's in the background look like grass. I have many banana plants smaller than yours that are producing pups so I wouldn't be suprised if thats what they are.

![]() Did you remove any cannas from this bed recently? Almost looks like cannas to me. Any little portion of canna tuber left in the ground usually resprouts.

![]() Do you have any Johnson grass up there? Sometimes we are hesitant to pull a weed in our corn patch as it'll be a look a like for awhile.

![]() How could it be a canna? Canna veins run like a bananas, going outwards. Corn run down the length of the leaf, as yours shows.
Just a thought! lol |
