Pups

With the hotter and dryer weather, all my bananas are producing pups like mad - between 4 and 8 each, with the exception of my apple plant. They all experience the same conditions, sun, water, humidity etc - so I am wondering if apples are known to be shyer of pupping, or if this is just normal variation?

Re: Pups

I don't have an apple but my California gold is the shyest of them all. One pup per bloom. I have one now that is 4 foot tall but am still waiting for a pup. I expect it to bloom between 4 and 6 feet.

That apple is moderately profuse actually once it gets going. Hopefully by the end of this season you have a few...
