Pulled my monster Maurelii out
I just pulled my monster Maurelii out as it flowered last month. The plant was taller than my house. It was a challenge not to take out all the plants around it as it came down. We tied two ropes to it and slowly lowered it from my roof to the ground. I wanted to place it next to my car to illustrate the massive size. We couldn't get it down to the driveway with four guys lifting it. I used my Dewalt recipricating saw and cut it up. It is longer than my car! Here is my monster:

Re: Pulled my monster Maurelii out
Isn't this the one you can score the stump and force it to grow new growth that you than then remove and plant since it won't pup?
If it is are you going to replant the corm and try that?

Re: Pulled my monster Maurelii out
I'm not sure. I thought this was done with younger plants that didn't flower. Let's see what others say.
