potash

I was told to get mutate of potash, when I got home I realized they sold me sulfate of potash. Is this going to make a difference to the quantities or effect banana health ?

Looks like you made the right choice.

Good news: If you had purchased the muriate of potash, you'd likely be dealing with a significant (and unhealthy) level of Chlorine.

Ditto. Further, there are limits to the amount of potash a plant can handle. Over application will suffocate the plant -- a condition we call potassium phytotoxicity. In general, a banana plant can process about 1.5 times (net weight) potash in comparison to Nitrogen (net weight) per year.

A while back I wrote the following guide:
Banana Cultivation In Non-Tropical Climates
If that doesn't help you, then I'd be happy to give you suggestions about fertilizer sources you have in your local area. Don't be shy, I'm truly willing to help folks with their local situation.
