Roundup would have killed the entire plant. Looks like wind damage except not all leaves are involved so I'd guess something is chowing down. Haven't a clue what it could be. Might help the diagnoses if you put where you are in your profile so others in your area could assist; nothing here in FL is eating my banana plants. Up north the neighbor's cat ate my lemon grass and eventually killed it but here it grows fine.

Insects will generally cleanly eat your plant leaving no rough/shredded edges as your photos show.
Wind damage usually shreds the leaf length wise or breaks the leaf in half.

My guess is your neighbor on the other side of the fence hit it with a string trimmer because it is hanging over on their side , or if you have a teenager they were practicing trimmer art.

A wide shot might confirm

Squirrels or marsh rats will do that around here. Get a dog that hates squirrels.

It's crazy that I made the post above and here I am seeking info on how to stop the sqirrels eating my bananas. My old beagle mix is getting old and can't hear or see out of one eye so his squirrel hunting/chasing days are over and the squirrels know it. Been having a buffett at my house. Anyone with any tips?, Someone told me once about cayenne pepper.

Rat trap. Maybe some peanut butter on it.
