How large are the 2-3qt nanners they sell? In general are they pretty small? Might order from them once before we go to there open house in July. I'm looking for plants that have a good start in size so they can overwinter in the ground this year.

Most of their stuff is very small...barely starts. I'd try other sources first, even eBay. What are you looking for?

There are plenty of other nurseries you can buy from. Most of the good ones are run by members here on the forum

I'm going to have a bunch of different ones available on the 20th. They will be VERY large probably 10x the size of what most send. If you want let me know and soon as I get the list I'll send it to you.

Plant Delights probably sends some of the Biggest of what you'll get from a mail order nursery, but you can buy for half the price from Brians Botanicals for a little smaller. Better yet contact folks here and you can get bigger for cheaper.

Now when I go to there open house and the plants are small like 18". Its in July,I worry they won't have enough time to settle in to be able to over winter? But it stays warm even till the end of Oct just chilly nights 50's. Any thoughts.

If you water and fertilize properly it has been my experience you will get a few feet of growth if not more in a few months. I use banana fuel from Richard here on the board and it works wonders!
