Me too but I was born that way LOL . The pics I posted are the plant I received from Greenearth labeled Calif Gold. They sent nice large TC plants which are growing like gangbusters. It has even thrown off a pup oddly enough about 18" from the mother plant which is now about 2'. With all the discussion about real CG I thought the red edging on the leaf would make it easy to identify as Ive never seen it on any of my other plants. Consensus seems to be that CG is a DO variant .. Thanks for the help..

Many other banana plants have red edging.

This picture of the CG sums it up! Thanks Tony! Looks like DO could have red borders as well if these plants are related if not the same.

I know that the not real 'Ice Cream' banana also has red/pink borders.
