Pauly,
Make sure that in the summer you put those 'nanas under a shade or they will be toast. When I was in Vegas/Henderson from July until September last year, I had several bananas with me from tissue culture, plus (1) 3-ft CA Gold and (1) 3-ft D Brazilian and they did great under the shade of the building. They only got direct sunlight in the morning until about 9:30AM. Then they are under the shade. Also, do not let them run dry! Do not water the leaves under the hot sun, just the soil around the base.

When they are much bigger, if you want to plant them in the ground, you'd still want to pick a spot where they can be shaded by a building or a larger tree. They will also benefit from a couple of large basins with water next next to them to give them some humidity during the hottest time of the day. A very large basin, like a swimming pool or a spa, would be ideal. Winter time, you will have to put protection around them.
