Default Overwintering a Dwarf Cavendish flower over winter

Last week I noticed a huge flower off of my Dwarf Cav. which I started only last March. I will post a picture when I can. It is my first flower and I am so proud of it. It is totally huge; at least oover two feet long, and it has not even opened yet. I am not sure that it is a dwarf Cav. but that is what the person who gave it to me told me. Now I live in Tampa Florida and it is common that we get a few light frosts/freezes. Does anyone know if it is possible to get the potential of the huge flower to fruition. If it gets too cold what should I do? Please help me out. I am kinda new to bananas and could use the info.
