I have never imported a plant from out of the country; however, usually in order to clear customs, the package must declare it contains a live plant and have a certificate of phytosanitation (phytosanitary certificate) present. This certification ensures that the plant has been properly and thoroughly inspected for disease and pests and has been certified to be free of both. Even still, there are different laws regarding the importation of plants depending on where you live. A great place to start would be your local extension office, who should be able to advise you on what would be required to import the plant to your state. I hope this helps!

In addition to the information from the previous post you should be able to acquire these off the internet.

The plant goes by a few different names.
