I had to put my banana trees down late in 2016 due to the fact that I had back issues and needed help. I finally got help around late November and luckily the weather was still not bad then. They are still in dormancy stage and are under their protective coverings having been cut back to 2 ft, some at 3ft.........the winter season here in SWVA(Blacksburg) has been extremely odd with high temps , then cold temps , extreme winds and no snow really. Just trying to keep them protected.........I never know what to expect come Spring here as to if they are going to make it or not. I do also dig many out and plant in pots to either sell or keep over winter inside.

Hi Snarky: Did your redwoods survive those awful fires in the mts of N.Carolina this past late fall?
How are your banana trees? |
