Default Nick's Naners

Nick stopped by today and brought some fruit. Clockwise starting from the green hand ----- FHIA 17, Pisang Raja, Dwarf PR Plantain and Njali Poovan.

Nick took home some plants including the recently infamous Dwarf Brazilian and the last Red Iholene to help round out his collection.

How does the Njali Poovan compare with the Chini Champa?

Taste Report ------ The Njalipoovan had a softer texture than Pisang Raja and were sweeter with very good complex taste. The Pisang Raja however were over the top good. Very complex flavor, firm flesh and the skins stuck pretty good to the fruit.

Turns out my wife likes the PR better than the NP. So a return visit to Nicks for a PR is on the books. Have to redo the banana site map to include PR.

Will bring a SH3640 and Chini Champa #2 for trade.

I potted them when you gave them to me, planted them in the ground last May. it went through the cold weather with ease. I sold 6 pups already based on the fruit.
