A nice selection

8 kinds of bananas here and it's hard to pick my favorite. Only one (the Fei) is from the market. The others were from growers and the ditch.

The Tuu Ghia is really good. It almost has a faint violet candy flavor.
The Manini and Iholena are great. Everybody really liked those when I cooked them up.
They Mysore is very good too. I guess I like them all except for the Namwa.

Dessert wise, i prefer Namwa significantly more than Manini and Iholena.

I have Tuu Ghia growing and look forward to tasting it after your description.

I really like the taste of Manini too - was my favorite when I tasted several different ones together last year.

Thanks for all of the info!

I and a few others have been looking for a source for Fei bananas. How possible would it be to get some corm to Florida?

Yum. Those are all great bananas. I wish I could find Fe'i fruit at our markets on this side. So yummy.

Sometimes have them at the Wednesday Hilo market. Carter grows them too, so check with him. Maybe he doesn't sell those through the store?
