Thanks, Chong. The post by "Just J" right above that one also needs some fixing. Kind of funny (?) in hindsight as Just J was quoting someone else (but I didn't realize it) and tophersmit then was quoting Just J and I realize it either. Who said what???

Now, the only problem, is that my post this afternoon doesn't really make sense but since it's been replied to (and quoted in a readily apparent manner), it wouldn't be right to delete it.

Can we interrupt this discussion with a photo of the banana in question??????

Thanks again,

Harvey

Since I have quite a few Margaritas now, I can say with conviction that this is the same plant that I got the first time I received my original "Siam Ruby" in April of 2007. Here is the photo of the plant then:

In June, 2007, I received a replacement plant from Brian, and here is a side by side comparison of the two plants.

My caveat with the second picture when I posted it then, goes: "Side by side comparison of last week's arrival and last April's shipment. The Siam Ruby "Green" is actually lighter yellow-green, but because the photo was taken with my Fuji S9000, it came out a little darker green than it actually is. Fuji digital cameras, like the Fuji films produces photos that favor green heavily compared to others.(June 20, 2007)"

If you can imagine the above description "lighter yellow-green", that would be "Chartreuse". And that is what I have now.

Chong, you need photo editing software to adjust your color balance. Your camera probably came with something that can do that (I use Photoshop). I could adjust it for you but wouldn't know what it should look like.

I did try and use MS Office Photo Manager, but all it did was make it brighter green, not lighter, even with diminished color saturation. I will use another photo editor and see.

I borrowed my daughter's Nikon and took these pictures of the Margaritas today:

These are as close to the actual color of the plants as I can get them:

Chong,

Mine look the same, which are much brighter than the Siam Ruby's that never turned red last year. I will try and post some side by side
