poo no bananas here..LOL

but did get a new camera in today, since mine is a 1 pixel from many moons ago.

gees what a difference it has made.. loving the colors..

di ya know each flower on the fruit will bloom one after another in order, till all have flowered. then the fruits starts to swell.. the one we ate last year choked me with all the juice..

That's a nice looking flower. How long did it take for that pinapple to bloom? I have two of them and they don't seem to like the dirrect sun so I keep them in the green house but still nothing.

Hi - I have a few banana tress growing in the back yard. I cut off a lug today that had aboiut 18 pieces of fruit on it. I was toold to take about 4-5 and put into a brown nag to ripen. Is this true?? Help I don't know what to do with all of them.

2 years on the first plant and this one took a year from mother plant, that fruited last year. **they're in a 5gal bucket..

mine are in direct sun from 9:00am-7:00 pm.., in fact even the sugarloafs
are in full sun..

i sometimes put a apple inside to hurry up ripening, they release ethylene gas. ..
but on some varieties you need to wait till black on them before they're ripe.. some bananas are good kinda firm and yellow..


here's where i start with banana sandwiches, ice cream, banana bread or muffins.. i have 2 kids and they love the rajas and we went thru 93 fruits in 2 weeks. cooked some green ones this years in oil, tasted like french fries.. cooked yellow ones in butter with brown sugar and tasted like french toast with syrup..
