![]() I planted 2 musa basjoo in the ground a couple wks ago and the new leaves are a lot lighter green. I planted it in MG ORGANIC soil and mixed in malorganite fertilizer..5-2-4..The leaves seem to be healthy but is this normal? Is it the sun, lacking some nutrient or ph level or whatever? IDK just wondered if i need to fix it or its a natural thing and not to worry about it?

![]() this is normal. they unfurl most of the time they are lighter than the older leaves.. they are more delicate and they are easily torn. they soon dry and the pigmentation is normal after a day or two.

![]() This often happens and in some cases is caused by magnesium deficiency.
To counter this I generally water my bananas and palms early in the season with a solution of epsom salts (magnesium sulphate) and they green up very nicely. |

![]() Yes, we did get hammered here for a while, but not as much lately. I usually water every 2/3 days for now. Haven't really had a heat wave yet.
