New Leaves Emerge With Yellow Tinge Color
My dwarf Cavendish has been putting out new leaves with a slight tinge of yellow through the entire leaf. What could be my issue? I give it plenty of water, light, and fertilizer. Could it be a sulfur deficiency?

Pix would help. I would suspect a fertilizer deficiency, but also some varieties tend to have some streaking of color variation. If the following leaf is normal, problem solved. Leaves tell you about what was happening with the plant a week or two ago: reporting history, not current conditions.

Tell us what your soil mix is. Sometimes the nutrients are there, but the ph is off enough to cause deficiencies. Also let us know how well the soil drains, how often you water etc.
Sometimes yellowing with a brand new leaf is normal, and will change to green as the leaf matures a bit. That is typcal in a rainy environment/period, even if only temporary. |
