*****Update*****

In just 5 months for being on the ground (tans-planted on July 7, 2016) The Patupi is putting out the flag leaf!....In my growing conditions, definitely The Patupi is a "monster grower!".....She is about 9 feet tall right now!....Beautiful banana plant!...I never thought that I will see or experience this kind of fast growing!....it is incredible!...I'm amazed!....It will be a true test to keep track of the Patupi pup to flower!....

Thank you Keith (PR-Giants) for everything!....

Pictures taken on 12/01/2016 and 12/02/2016.....

Also, another surprise!....Veinte Cohol in just under 5 feet tall and is blooming!...Same as The Patupi has been on the ground almost 5 months! (trans-planted on July 7, 2016)....Six hands of VC banana fruits for a small VC plant!....Veinte Cohol has 2 pups!....The VC pups (second crop) should grow to a "normal" size; bigger, taller than the mother plant!.....

Pictures were taken on 11/28/2016....

Picture taken on 12/02/2016.....VC fruits are filling very fast!....

Picture taken on 12/02/2016....Beautiful French Red Plantain opened another leaf!....It is growing fast now!....

Picture taken on 12/02/2016....The "Showcase" Beautiful, Royal, Majestic Manini also opened a new long leaf!....Getting bigger, taller!....

more updates coming!.....

An undersized bunch is the disadvantage of starting with that huge 20" corm and is the reason why I don't plant those huge corms. However they are useful for producing a super fast growing giant follower. It's basically the same technique we use for plants that have needed to be cut back because of a storm. Instead of letting them flower and produce an undersized bunch, we let them regrow a full set of leaves and then start restricting their growth which then redirects most of it's resources into the pup. What you'll have is two plants working together to quickly produce one very large bunch.

1G is the plant crop/corm/first generation, and it is kept alive and growing while it's pup 2G produces the bunch. 2G is the ratoon crop/second generation and 3G is it's pup and the next follower.
