The corms are still pushing out, growing fast now!.... All pictures taken on February 27, 2017..... Pisang Raja = Musa Belle corm made it!.....  ....Its pushing out the second leaf now!.... Ice Scream Blue Java corm is pushing out the first leaf!.... My excuses for the Florida Possum Purple passion Fruit (self-fertile variety) vine/tree on the background!....Passion fruit vine/tree will go to the ground soon!... FHIA-17 "monster grower" corm pushing out the fourth leaf now!.... This thing is growing really fast!...FHIA-17 is pushing out leaves so fast comparing to other 'nanas varieties!....I'm really amazed!.... *****Bonus!***** My Puerto Rican Cuerno De Alce (African Rhino Horn Plantain) is flowering for the first time!....She is approx. 11 ft. tall right now!.... My grafted Simmonds Avocado tree is flowering "exploding" for the first time!.....Next to my 15 ft. Soursop (Guanabana) tree!....Simmonds Avocado tree has been on the ground for 3 years now!....Approx. 16 ft. tall!... Thank you for following the thread/post...... *****An update coming soon!*****

*****Corms Update!*****
The corms are still growing nicely!.... All pictures taken on March 2, 2017..... Pisang Raja corm opened the second leaf completely!...Now is pushing out the third leaf!..... Ice Scream Blue Java corm just "exploded" growing!....First leaf should open in any time!.....This thing is huge in size!... FHIA-17 "monster grower" keeps pushing out, opening a new leaf!...Also, I removed, pulled down the outer layers of the corm base, they are drying....No longer needed!..... *****Follow Up!***** FHIA-1 TARS "real deal" Goldfinger keeps pushing out new leaves very quick!....Growing fast now!....Compare this pictures to the prior ones and you will see!..... PR Cuerno De Alce (ARH Plantain) keeps pushing out the long, slender flower bud!...I measured The ARH Plantain and she is 12 ft. tall!... A very tall plantain variety!.....Also, as you can see in the first picture, on the back far left, is my FHIA-21 Plantain!....I measured The FHIA-21 Plantain and she is 10 ft. tall!.....FHIA-21 Plantain should be flowering at anytime now!.... *****I know you guys love pictures!****** A couple of "showcase" pictures of The Beautiful, Royal and Majestic Manini 'Ae Ae'!.....Approx. 7 ft. tall right now and still growing very nicely!.... Awesome job as always Hector. That manini looks amazing. How many pups does it have. Mine is going in the ground here in the next week or two. You have the magic touch with corms for sure.

*****As I mentioned, an updated to the French Red Plantain!*****
French Red Plantain is doing great!....Growing very nicely!.....In the beginning it was kind of slow growing but once he got rooting, it started to grow fast!....French Red is about 7 ft. tall right now and growing!....Look at the red vivid colors of The French Red Plantain!....A very beautiful 'nana plant!...... As you can see, French Red is the very good neighbor of my other stellar performer, The Beautiful, Majestic Manini 'Ae Ae'!....I didn't know you guys like the beautiful and raw French Red Porn!.....LOL.....I mean The French Red Plantain!.... I have a Manzano Plant that is 4' plus and 4+ months old.
It is in a container right now and I want to plant it out doors after frost is not a threat. Soil outside has clay and mica so it does not drain all that well. I am afraid of the plant becoming water logged and would like to build a planter base above the top of ground level. Will the plant put down roots strong enough to support the plant? Or do I have to stake it as it gets taller? Craig

Now I can finally say "The corms made it!"..... All 3 corms pushing new leaves now, growing steady!..... Pictures from March 9, 2017.... Pisang Raja corm....very beautiful 'nana plant....
