![]() I thought I'd share this photo that I took recently.
Several months ago, I had dug up this huge Valery corm and haphazardly discarded it in a corner. I didn't pay much attention to it, but then I noticed that pups started growing from the unrooted corm. There are 8 pups so far. It only gets an occasional squirt of water as I'm passing by with the hose. This illustrates how resilient these plants can be! |

After I dug it up, I planted a large pup that I'd removed. I gave the gigantic corm to my neighbor, who planted it in his yard. He had more room than I did, as my yard is already filled with banana plants and other tropicals. |
