Default Need help

I am asking for help with my new banana tree plant. It is about 1 year old. Is it ok to use a standard 10/10/10 fertilizer and how much should be used. Plant is inside at this time. See pix. thanks in advance for your help. I am new to banana trees and need all the help i can get.

I would be careful with chemical fertilizers in potted plants, especially one that small. You might want to go organic. Blood meal, maybe? Or if you want something that absorbs fast, fish emulsion will do fine.

That plant is a year old? It only looks a few months old. I would hold off on fertilizer on a plant that small...especially during this time of the year. Once it gets larger and it's spring/summer, 10-10-10 should be just fine to use. Until then, I'd make sure it gets plenty of sunlight, water only when it's quite dry during the winter to prevent root rot and just let it do its thing. Looks healthy, just slow-growing apparently.

Is that a dwarf cavendish?

When you do water if you have any wood ash from a fire pit I'd add a scoup of that and water it in, but don't over water it.. :^)
