nearly 4 months to the day it bloomed...

... and my Ice Cream folded when I was in Las Vegas.

Big Deal.

They started ripening so I cut them from the tree. They are looking good and should be ready in the next day or two! I rinsed them in a rainwater bath!

This plant flowered, fruited, and ripened with less than 5 healthy leaves! See.

Very nice!! I cant wait for my IC to bloom, flower, fruit! How tall did yours get? Mine is about 8 foot and I am hoping for a flower already, but some say I have to wait till it hits 15 foot, others say they can flower anywhere between 8 feet and 11 feet. Would you normally wait untit the fruit turns yellow before picking the fruit off? Is there a magic number of leafs I should leave on the tree? Everytime I get to 15 or 16 leafs I cut it back down to 10 - 12 leafs. If I cut all the leafs back will it promote a flower quicker? Sorry for so many noob questions today.

Also just to be clear, you are saying after the flower poped up it still took 4 months till fruit?

Folding in Las Vegas is a wise choice many times. I see it worked for you! Nice pic's, thank you.

It is just easier to manage the ripe fruit when it is cut Is there a magic number of leafs I should leave on the tree? 4 months from flower to the pictures that I took today with fruit turning yellow.

We have eaten them all. They were the best I have tasted. The last ones we ate tasted the best as they were the most ripe.

We have 2 more bunches. With highs in the 70's forecast for the next few weeks, I feel certain that we have a 50-50 chance on one more rack.

Great pics, I got an IC from Sandy that was 7ft and had to be cut to about 30 inches to ship its already a foot taller(not including new leaf growth) I'll keep it warm all winter and hopefully will see a flower next year if it keeps up this growth rate. What do you think about the chances?

And I still thought porkpi was cool!
