Nanners and koi.

There was an oriental restaurant next to the hotel I stayed in, while in Florida recently. They had a koi pond in the front, which I found out was interconnected with ponds, on three sides of the restaurant, and the fish could swim from one to the other.
Around the pools were planted various plants, among them, an Australian tree fern, and some bananas. They also had several large potted blooming orchids sitting around the pools, which they rotated to a walled in growing area, in the back, when they were out of bloom. They also had a potted blooming orchid on every table in the restaurant.

Forgot to mention before; no one at the restaurant seemed to know the variety. Does anyone want to take a stab at it? The stem of the bunch came off the pseudostem at about 5 to 5½ feet.
