Nambour Banana Research Centre

Ten things to know about growing bananas in Southern Queensland is a web site put out by the Queensland government for people growing bananas over here.
At the top is a contact button - that's the reason I included the page

It emails the department and you can get details on buying bananas as tissue culture in-vitro.

They do sell over seas but I'm not sure if its just to botanical gardens and other research centres or to collectors.

They claim to have the largest collection of bananas in the world so if you are after something rare - they may be the place to start looking.

I bought my blue java for $10 Australian, being in it for the money - I'm sure they'll charge more to overseas buyers and they will also charge any government costs to meet your customs requirements.

There is quite a time delay - don't know about overseas buyers but for queenslanders, we can only order in April for delivery "when it's ready" - usually june or july

Just sent an email to see what they might offer. Thanks for the lead.
