it will burn it up, I would gradually put in the sun for maybe a hour a day till it gets use to it, then full steam ahead is fine. If it has been in the sun all along then discard what I said. Good luck to you I hope it does well for you... |
Re: My veinte cohol didn't start
It has been expose to full sun since i have it, but the résult is the first picture.
I will do what you say for a week or two, to preserve the healthy tissues from drying. |
Re: My veinte cohol didn't start
Good to know you're not impatient.
In the Tropics, after moving a VC a couple feet, it could take 7-10 days to start to push. Not sure how shipping it halfway around the world would help. Those leaf sheaths that you removed were actually helping to support the pseudostem. Quote:

Re: My veinte cohol didn't start
There is one very easy way to get it to start: Give it time. :)
It works miracles with bananas. Some need more (up to two months), some less. Yours looks healthy enough, to pop some new growth any day now. :) I would go with Kubali, though: Keep it in the shade until new growth is well under way. Just consider, that most wild bananas live in jungles, usually with only mottled light. Good Luck! Olaf |
