are you trying any in the ground next year or will they stay potted up? I know I'm a couple of degrees less cold than you down here, but I was going to trial yunnan, helen and chini champa next year................................provided I have spare pups to save, just in case

All my bananas stay in pots,when they get to large for a pot size i move them on the the next size pot.I find it much easier doing it this way rather than putting them in the ground,then disturbing the roots and shocking the whole plant when digging back up for winter. Yunnan,helen and chini champa will not survive our winters outside even with protection,unles we go back to having mild winters in the UK,even then its 50/50 chance. |
