My 'nanners'
I'm still rather new to attempting to grow bananas, and here are some photo's of what I have currently. I couldn't tell a sick one from a healthy one
(unless it is half dead), so comments / recommendations are welcome. Dwarf Apple about 10 months after planting Saba, also about 10 months after planting. My neighbors Apple banana is in the background. Mine should get bigger. A baby Saba about 1 month after planting A Williams pup about 4 months after planting. It has finally unfolded it's first new leaf. |

Re: My 'nanners'
Yup! This is a warm place. I'm not actually IN Honolulu, but since that is the most recognized name here; that is what I use for a loc.
BTW: I'm still looking for an Ae Ae (variegated variety of the Maole), but there appear to be few here in spite of this being their origin. I think that the variety is more susceptible to 'bunchy top' virus, and most have been lost locally unless they are kept in isolated areas. Last edited by Yug : 01-03-2011 at 10:01 PM. |
