My Musa is in trouble...
 

I got it three day ago and ... it doesn't look very good.

the pics are not clear enough to see the real problem, but it seems that the leaves are damaged and that is not a big problem because they grow very quick.

Looks like it could be cold damage to the leaf.................now you tell me you live in Florida and its in the 90s.

You could trim the leaf back to healthy material just so it looks a little better.

I wouldn't say I live in South Florida. I live in Austria, no not Australia.

So u r saying that this damage happened while the banana was inside your house? If not and it was exposed to the cold cut off all dammaged leaves and any part of the Pseudo that feels mushy, applying cinnamin to the top of where you cut off.

It was transported to me from Germany, and may was exposed to 1 or 2 °C.

Nothing is mushy or something like that.

Should I cut off the damage leaves?:0519:

If a Musa is healthy, it is one heck of a tough plant. Like you say, it's not mushy, so basically it's ok. When a Musa decides to crash out, there's nothing much we can do about it. I don't think you need to worry about the dried up area of the leaf. Make sure there is sufficient humidity and warmth and....patience on your side, it will make it. Remember, its a hobby, it's suppose to help us relax and not to be so stressed up. So sit back and enjoy the plant!:ha:

That is just cold damage. It will recover. Nothing special required, just grow it as you would normally and the new growth will replace this leaf.
