Bananas Brindando My irst flower in Chandler AZ

After 3 years I finally have my first flower on one of my Ice Cream Banana plants. Between the searing heat and 2 light freezes last winter I am surprised It happened. I just hope this extreme heat right now 105-115 degrees and no humidity 5% or so does'nt kill it. I am watering the heck out of them. Lets hope I have some nanners by fall!

Congrats! I know what its like, I just got my first bannaa flower ever on my Velutina. I have an ice cream banana too. I would love to get a flower from it, but its only 5 1/2 feet tall, so I dont think it will give me blooms this year. Oh well!
Enjoy the bananas! You will definitely be eating ripe bananas before fall!
