Can you find the babaco and the cherimoya?
Those were just planted that came from my pergola plat. In fact all of the plants in the picture came from my old pergola plat.
At the center of the picture on the foreground is a dwarf Brazilian.

What labor intensive work you've done...looks beautiful!!

I need to look back through the pictures again, but I didn't think I saw enough chairs & lounging areas... which is what I would be doing if I put that much work & my mini-paradise was as lush as yours!!

Makes me feel better that the total disarray that my backyard is in - will one day be my 'escape to paradise'!

I have tables and chairs but I have not put them in place yet . I will soon.
I have many things to get rid of.
You prolly put things off too in many ways.

Benny how tall calif-gold get before it fruited and how long did it take ive heard it takes 11 months.

Mine only grows 4 1/2 feet before it sends out the flowers but if you live in San Diego at 7 feet it is still growing. So I guess it depends where you live . Also if you overfertilize and water may affect the height. Mine grows at certain part of the year only.
Also I can not answer your next question because mine took on flower about 2 years and in the middle of the winter to boot!
11 months is I think not true. Only senorita banana can do that. And that's why a lot of folks wants it so they can harvest before the frost but nobody has one. Except one guy in Florida who promised me a pup and I am still waiting.
It's got to be more than that. 18 months is a conservative estimate.

Benny,

I got a basjoo from a friend in Oregon.
She used a long, thick, 5 inch diameter cardboard tube - kind of like what architects use.
I can stand on it and it won't collapse.
Don't know where to get them, sorry, I know that doesn't help you.
She lined the leaves with newspaper & had crushed paper to support the stem & the root was moist newspaper & plastic wrapped.
They showed up with all their leaves & unscathed!

Hope this gave you some ideas!
