No I haven't! However, with adequate fert and sun, we should be seeing some fruit from this next fall..... Fingers crossed.

Update!

Musa Manzano Apple was not in a good spot, too much shade. So I moved it to a better spot, we will see if it works okay.

Pics from 11/19/20:

The rootball:

This isn’t a BIG tree!

Planting hole:

Whalla! After falling over twice before I could add soil, it is finally tamped in there!

The base:

This is the rest of my planting space here. We will see if this tree works here than if it’s does plant out the rest next spring!

It will be kind of tight, but we can probably fit about six or seven in there @ 6feet-spacing!

Thanks for following the thread,

Joe,

Good luck with your aeae. You make me want one but I could just not spend that much on something that difficult to keep alive.

Lots of successes in this thread but loving these. Nice work! I'm hoping it's in the cards for us to move further south in a few years. I do have a possible opportunity in Boca but C19 might have squashed that.

I have that dwarf cavendish that I rescued from Home Depot, and the plant itself didn't exactly take off but the pups are very healthy. It pushed 6 leaves or so since I planted it on Labor Day but none of the petioles seemed to gain much length at all. Never had one so maybe this is normal but I see yours are a bit longer. Also it's not liking the cooler temps and shorter days at all, worse than the gran nains. Ole Lou still thinks it's July though....

As for Boca I guess I'll just get to keep making site visits for now. We may shut that location down which is weird in S Florida for an Air Conditioning business but what do I know, I just work here...

Yes dwarf Cavendish do hate the cold. It should grow fine this spring if the pups don't take over..... Good luck!

Lol right! That sounds hilarious, "I just work here"! My dad says that all the time lol
