Musa Watering

Hi everyone, I have three Musa plants. Musa Basjoo, Red Siam and dwarf Novak. Plus a ton of other tropicals. Many in large pots. I found a a water meter is a great tool to have, especially for large pots. It can be bought at Walmart or garden stores for $5.00 or less. When in doubt I use it. Musa should be kept moist but never wet as it will rot. Mine are doing excellent.
I also mist the leaves. When I do they tend to raise up as if to say thanks.

They can set half in water and grow as a water plant and do fine. They can handle more water than you think. It's mid to high nineties here and I soak them as much as I can everyday. The meter would definitely be a plus in the winter when you have them indoors or when it cools down to the 70-80's. The misting is a plus in winter(indoors) but not so effective outdoors in the summer with the evaporation rate.
