It grows surprisingly fast, sends our many pups and is trouble free down here. I water it a couple of times a week if it hasn't rained and only fed it once. |

In my opinion they are about middle of the road. Not as Hardy as Orinoco etc. but hardier than cavendish and reds. Mine in z8b was covered with 1 layer of plastic in a temp greenhouse and did find. No heat. They started back growing a little later than others in the spring. For your zone if your looking for a beautiful plant look at Helens Hybrid. I love them and they are really cold Hardy.

That's a decent deal for a Zebrina. They are pretty. Mine ususally take off when I plant them in the ground. Get a decent sized pot and it would do fine. Or plant it and dig it up and keep it stored or as a houseplant during winter.

I did not think they would do well in a pot, I just may go get a couple more. Last edited by gnappi : 06-15-2016 at 11:14 PM. |

No any bananas at local Lowe's or Homie here, some at local nurseries, but poor selection and bad condition.

Today my local lowes had the rojos for $12.99 anl large clay pots ( 7-10 gal) for $12 too. So I now have another on my patio. This makes me wonder... Remember from our history class the underground railroad? Wouldn't it be cool if zone pushers could use the same concept from those of us in the deep south? My ex GF did this sort of thing with a dog pet rescue relay for transporting abused pets to new homes :-) |
