Getting very close to a flower! BananaT says his Patupi fruit between 5’ and 9’ so you got to the “flower zone” this year. Two more months and you would probably get a flower.
Do you have a pic at the beginning of the season of your big Patupi? Did he emerge after the winter or was he a carryover from last season? |

My big one was already at 45" pstem in spring when it had just a few fragile indoor leaves. The shock of being moved outdoors into the sun and also the high winds of spring certainly set this plant back. Then it finally took off in July / August with far more growth than any other banana variety I have. Hopefully it lives till next year and we can see if it flowers! |
