Nope, i've never heard of that. Banana growers in italy are just an handful. I just think that you have raised an interesting subject.

Perhaps even more beautiful than mysore.

Edit: I notice the newest leaf doesn't have the red midrib. This is something they lose with age or does it take time to show colour?

If it's the same pdf file as above, then it's old and riddled with errors. Their website is more accurate and frequently updated.

If you cross reference the two, you'll notice the missing cultivars were removed and put in a separate location.

Much of the information in the pdf file is missing, especially in the synthetic hybrid section.

Click on "Observations"

Now all of the descriptors are sortable with their other cultivars.
