Nope, i've never heard of that. Banana growers in italy are just an handful. I just think that you have raised an interesting subject.

Perhaps even more beautiful than mysore.

Edit: I notice the newest leaf doesn't have the red midrib. This is something they lose with age or does it take time to show colour?

The off contains more information such as the flower to harvest days etc. The website may have it but I do not see it.

Much of the information in the pdf file is missing, especially in the synthetic hybrid section.


Click on "Observations"

Now all of the descriptors are sortable with their other cultivars.
