Pretty cool! I was in Japan about three years ago. Their vending machines are interesting, to say the least. I wonder what the life of a banana in one of those machines is and whether or not they are slightly refrigerated?

Actually, I didn't think it was strange at all. If you've seen what lurks in the high school and college vending machines, I think these products are far more superior and quite a bit healthier than the junk food machines. Even in hospitals!
However, I have seen the similar Udon vending machine in Montreal, or maybe Quebec City. It's just strange to many of us because the US is stuck on machines filled with garbage. Thanks for sharing that.. I found the sandwich dispenser to be a bit Jetson-ish.
