They're doing great but we're probably not going to be distributing any this year.
We'll be needing all the pups to cover the area that was set aside for the FHIA-21. The FHIA-21 is a great backyard banana but not good enough for market sales here.

I wonder how cold tolerant it is? I have found that French plantains reward you if you manage the bunch, but are not marketable if you don't.

I tried growing ARH and PR Dwarf but for some reason they didn't do to well up here, I also remember planting a F-21 that i picked up at a Nursery somewhere in FL cant remember, I think i planted it in winter didn't do good , But the F-21 that i got from you have lots of Vigor also the French Red Is in the lead in its growth !..
I will be putting these Plantains to the test, will have to be next winter right now they are too young and they will go inside the Green house for this 2015 winter and planted in the spring of 2016, Just observing there vigor i have a good feeling about these plants i think i will be successful harvesting Plantains ! Ed |
