Does anyone know the differences between Musa 'Ducasse' ('Pisang Awak') and Musa Ice Cream (Blue Java)? Are they the same cold hardy variety form Australia?

Ducasse and Ice Cream are supposed to be the same.

Thanks Erlend. My first thought was that they were technically the same variety. Agri-Starts has the two advertised as different plants, which led me to believe that the Ducasse might be an even cold-hardier strand of the Ice Cream.

They are not the same variety, but they are in the same group, Bluggoe ABB and are similar as are most varieties in a group.

I wanted to bump up this thread because Dar (musaboru) was inquiring about the Dwarf Ducasse and I could not attach the files below, that gives references to Ducasse forms, in a PM or the classified ad.
Dar, to go directly to the Dwarf Ducasse, do a search for "Namwa Khom" in either file. |
