Is Musa Basjoo pup removal required for the mother's health?
Hello. In early spring I planted 5 Musa Basjoos that are all quite healthy and growing rapidly. Several of them have pups so I am wondering if I should remove them so the mother plants will continue to grow in size and height or should I leave them so they will create multi plant "jungle" appearance. I don't think I mind a crowded look but I don't want to undermine and slow the growth of the mother plants. I don't necessarily want to propagate the pups either. What is best practice here?

If you want the tropical look you should definitely let them grow as is.
