Default Musa Basjoo out for winter and too much rain?

My Musa Basjoo just went out 2 weeks ago and it has been raining every day since then. I know bananas are very sensitive to water especially when they are coming out of the winter. Should I be worried that this much rain might rot the core since they are not actively growing yet?

Hi Lovetogarden,

If it is in the ground, you should be fine as long as the soil drains and doesn't hold water for a long time.

If its in a pot, I would move it under an awning or something to get it out of the direct rain until the potting mix gets more dry around the pot's drainage holes.

Good luck!
