Maurelii's

Most of the banana's we have spend the winter under the house... I haven't checked on them since I put them to bed.. It was 80* out yeaterday so I thought maybe I should have a look... Maurelii's just don't like the dark...LOL
They do recover fairly quickly but they are the only ones I have that do this... I brought them in the house to reintroduce them to the light...Everyone else will have to sleep for just a little longer...I'll still have to cut them back some but the roots have already began to produce..I am soooo ready for Spring!!!!!:kiteflyingnanergif:

I would like to know that as well. I am twitchy enough about putting them in a dark garage so mine are jammed into a greenhouse at the moment.

Mine are unprotected in zone 8 and were the first to push out new leaves for the last two years.

Re: Maurelii's

Here is mine, it spent the winter in a cool room in front of a window.
Gave it once a week a bit water when it was totally dry, it kept growing
slowly. Btw the same as my Ventricosum.
Now, I moved it to my small GH against a wall wich can stand some frost.
It will be out in a few weeks as I can move it under a roof in case of
nightfrosts.
