Default Maurelii: Loss of color

Throughout the course of the day, all 3 of mine receive 8 hours or better of sun. Thought that would be enough to keep the color but it's not the case. Or, could there be something else going on? For those of you that retain good color, how much sun do they receive?

Ron, how much sun does yours receive? I hate having to move mine... I am so enjoying them on my front porch.

BTW, do you guys remember this pic from McDonalds Garden center last year? They were wanting $99 and I wouldn't pay that much.... this year.. a whopping $299! I couldn't believe it!

Actually, looking at that photo, the coloring seems to be faded just as mine have done. Are you guys in agreement that the coloring is poor or am I expecting too much?

Carolina, it is sun and rain lately and not high temps. I don't know if too
much sun and heat is bad for the color but I know that a lack of sun
does not harms mine.

ron, thanks. I may be overwatering... and that could also be why some of my lower leaves have died off two of them.

nucci, I only wish that was mine underpotted. That was a pic I took at McDonald's garden center last year. Looks kinda funny in that little pot, huh?

The garden centre had better keep that thing out of the wind!

Ron, your's looks great! Like mine used to.
Here are two of mine... you can see the color loss. I think I need to cut back on water, and give more sun. Also, on these 2, I've lost lower leaves. My 3rd one, not pictured, has also lost color but not the lower leaves. It is in a less convenient area and hasn't been getting as much water.
