![]() Only 3 ssp came back and only one had normal growth. I'll try with more Ensete sp. and Basjoo to fill the gaps.

![]() I feel your pain. I too lost all of mine. I had them ( the stalks) bubble wrapped and corms mulched but the stalks still wilted and fell over. Maybe outside wintering wasn't a hot idea for myself. I'm on the lookout for more and I'm going to keep them in pots I guess and bring them in over the winter. Sorry to hear about your loss.

![]() My dwarf cavendish froze this winter in the low twenties in a grrenhouse planted in a pot. It was out there for a whole week in the freezing temps. I cut all the stems down to an inch from the soil and brought it indoors within a week it showed signs of life and is now growing leaves from all cut down stems.

![]() Do not give up on anything. I’ve had some in the ground every year. None looked worth a poop but all came back. Just trim off all wilted leaves and stems that froze. Let the plants dry out and mulch heavily until danger of frost is over. Do not water until growing actively.

![]() That sucks. Lost quite a few myself this year. Going to start digging pups before frost hits if not the whole plant and sticking them all in either the garage or a pop up greenhouse I have sitting around.

![]() Well, almost exactly same time of the year and we are about to get hit by freeze again. It will probably be not so harsh as last time but some serious damage is to be expected.
Will know much more this weekend. Good luck to us all ![]()

![]() It was 30F this morning in SE Texas. I will inspect my bananas this weekend after they decide if they survived and perhaps show some damage.

![]() Well, another frosty episode on the roll. Had to dig out my biggest Daijao, it was to risky to improvise serious protection with strong winds like this. Tommorow should be better.
Good luck everyone in this polar event. ![]()
