Logee's greenhouse?

Anyone ever order from them? Are there banana plants decent size?

I have not ordered bananas from them, but am a long time customer. Their selection of plants is vast, and the plant quality is exceptional, but they are not cheap, and the size of many of their offerings is usually on the small size. Generally, you need to be prepared to grow a small plant up to the size you want.
Hope that is of some help.

Their bananas are pretty pricey, and seeing the small size of their other plants, I'd personally go elsewhere. I love what Logee's promotes and I love their videos and books, but, most of their plants can be found bigger, cheaper, and more diverse elsewhere.

I've never ordered bananas from them though, but, I'm just making safe guesses.

They were recommended by a NC greenhouse plant delight which is a cool place. I ordered a Veinte Cohol :08:

Plant Delights is another great source for perennial plants that are not usually found in the big box stores. I highly recommend them as well. Their catalogs are also highly entertaining!

I ordered an Ensete Glaucum (as well as some other plants) from them and found the quality good; arrived in a 4" pot and was about 12" tall (this was about 2 months ago and it is now almost 24" tall). I was well aware of the pot size I was orderding and, to me, the cost was very reasonable - $15.
They are definitely young plants that are being shipped, but then this was one of the few companies that I could get the plant shipped to a location different from my billing address - this is the only way I could get the plants into Canada. :)
I would order from them again if they have what I am looking for.

Yes I have gone to PDN and it was awesome. They had some huge AEAE nanners growing and the guy that ran the place said owner Tony Advent over wintered them in the ground. They are zone 7 and get snow and ice every year. No idea how they survived even being protected.

I think the nanner prices were normal.

I have been there, they have great stuff! A little on the smaller side but because they are mail order mostly I guess.

I agree with all that's been said about Logee's. I've ordered from them many times. They are very professional. The plants aren't cheap for their size, but they arrive in good shape. The couple of banana plants I got from them were reasonable size for tissue cultured bananas. In other words, they actually grow them to a reasonable size, rather than some of the small TC plants you might order on the internet and they are barely larger than when they come out of the TC flask.
